Death Takes Away
In the style of the Day of the Dead mexican art, i paid tribute to my childhood. By paying tribute to some of my biggest heroes and favorites who passed on in the year. The long black thing at the bottom of the skull represents a wand for Alan Rickman, the red nose represents Robin Williams (ala Patch Adams) and you can see it has bloody fangs for the late Christopher Lee. The Hat obviously represents the late Gene Wilder and the Black Star in the eye as well as the lightning bolt on the face represents David Bowie. The people on the left, the tall represents me, and the small represents the child in me/the child i used to be, going away with each death thus you can see the colors going to the skull.

Pottery a very messy...mess.
As you can see in these pictures, i have created a greek/roman inspired pot. It was my first one, so bare with me. These pictures show before i got started and then the finished product (i swear i took a picture of it unfinished, but for some reason, my phone doesn't have it ik what happened) and note i did try to make i look like a pot because the clay i had was white, but i think the color i used was the wrong color but i had to go with it, and it kinda looks good (i love critiquing myself so i think almost everything i do is horrible lol) but i kind of like leaving the white spots there, it kind of shows the wear of time as most pots from that era do, you know, paint wears away, chipped off. Kinda looks aged. Opinions?

Sorry for not posting lately, but i got back yesterday from celebrating my 18th birthday. For my 18th, my parents took me to St. George, Utah, to see Hunchback of Notre Dame (it's set pictured below) at Tuacahn. BOY I WISH I COULD SEE IT AGAIN. Loved it. But, this weekend brought sad news, my dad's hero, Arnold Palmer the famous golfer, had died. So while we had fun, the weekend had ended a bit sad.

Egypt. What a fascinating country with a fascinating history. I love their myths, their mummies, and their pyramids. Can't get enough about the Mummies. Here, i drew an egyptian god (made up), called Octi, Octi is the god of Problems, Creativity and Chores. Hopefully by the end of art class, i can actually be a good drawer XD

Welcome to my Blog!
What a week this has been. Started School, and because of that i now have started this blog! (which i totally meant to do...one day. so, i will say this, Thank you Art Class! lol) and of course, me being a movie fan, the death of Gene Wilder really put a damper on things....might have to draw something or do something in honor of him later on in my art class. Anyways, this blog will be for my art class, so i will post the assignments i do here, with also some in progress pictures. I am also a Movie, Disney, and History fanatic so once in awhile i will post some stuff from those areas as well, but this will be mainly for Art class. So, :P guess it's time to begin!
